What is it?
Food supplement based on Eucalyptus Honey with Tolu Balsam, Plantain leaves, flowering tops of Grindelia robusta, flowering tops of Helichrysum and Drosera rotundifolia.
A cough is a defence mechanism to keep the airways clean and clear. In the case of the non-productive cough, it is caused by irritants, or stimuli from outside the airways. In the case of a so-called productive cough, the stimuli are produced within the airways with the purpose of expelling secretions or foreign bodies.
Plantago lanceolata and Drosera rotundifolia which are traditionally used in herbal infusions and teas are known because they have a mucolytic and emollient action, thus increasing secretions and making them more fluid, facilitating expulsion and they form gels that cover and protect the irritated mucosa, calming the cough.
Helichrysum, also traditionally used in infusions, helps reduce inflammation and aids expectoration.
Also honey, with a soothing and energising effect is traditionally used in mouth and throat conditions.
